Course Description: This course provides an overview of the Laws (Florida Statutes) found in F. S. Chapter 455, Business & Professional Regulation General Provisions; F. S. Chapter 489 Part II, Electrical and Alarm System Contracting; and Chapter 61G6 of the Florida Administrative Code. It will identify the role of the Department of Professional Regulation, Electrical Contractors Licensing Board (ECLB) and familiarize contractors with the Definitions of Occupation and Class Codes and “Know Your Scope” chart.

It will provide individuals with a brief introduction of who OSHA is; what role OSHA plays to protect individuals in related industries; regulations governing these issues; and, what employers are required to do in order to protect their employees.
